We've partnered with the leading card company to develop a native iOS and Android app that introduced a completely digital user onboarding to the Croatian market, helping our team gain industry-specific knowledge and develop more efficient app development processes.
Erste Card Club has been a force of financial service innovation in the Croatian market for almost three decades. A front-runner within the Diners Global Group, ECC won five "Best New Initiative" awards for online services, three "Best Franchise" awards, and three "Best Corporate Performance" awards for outstanding growth.
A complete digital transformation of a financial service
In 2019, ECC set off on a complex digital transformation journey, intending to virtualize the complete service of Diners, VISA, and Mastercard. Every service needed to be available without visiting a physical point of sale, from becoming a client to the administration of installment payments and reward programs.
Together with ECC, we built EMA, the first application in the Croatian market with a fully digital onboarding for new users. We explored the regulatory requirements and technological possibilities to develop reliable solutions for video identification, ID document management, and money laundering prevention. EMA has been designed to offer a complete set of financial features, from cost control and installment payment management to loyalty programs and GDPR regulation.
Valuable experience and new app production pipeline
Developing a pioneering product meant we had to explore the untapped areas, enabling us to gain a vast amount of industry-specific knowledge. We're now transferring that knowledge to ECC'S digital financial service projects in the Slovenian market.
While developing EMA, we've also conceived a mobile app development process that enables more efficient release management, considering the often rigid core systems of financial institutions.
